Could a hair transplant be suitable for me?

How are FUE and FUT different?

FUT removes a strip of hair-bearing scalp, which is divided into grafts for transplantation. It leaves a linear donor scar. Discuss the reasons for the proposed technique during your assessment.

What can a hair transplant achieve?

Hair transplantation redistributes existing follicles to improve coverage. Results can be long lasting, but density, appearance and graft survival vary, and existing hair may continue to thin. Treatment planning includes donor capacity, future hair loss and possible ongoing treatment.

What should I expect during recovery?

You will receive individual instructions for washing, medication, work and exercise. What risks and limitations should I discuss?

Possible complications include bleeding, infection, a reaction to the anaesthetic, noticeable scars and poor graft growth. Ask how these would be managed. Contact your treating clinic promptly for severe pain or unexpected symptoms.
