Planning your hair transplant trip to Izmir
If you are traveling to Izmir for a hair transplant, start with the treatment schedule. At Ulusan Clinic, the usual international visit includes two hotel nights: arrival on Day 1, surgery on Day 2, and a check-up before departure on Day 3. Some patients choose to stay longer.
Your doctor and the clinic team will confirm your individual arrangements before you book. The aim is to give you enough time for assessment, treatment and the next-day check without making the visit feel rushed.
Why choose Izmir?
Izmir is an Aegean coastal city with a long waterfront, neighborhood cafés and historic streets to explore. Kordon offers a place to sit by the bay; Kemeraltı brings together shops, food and the city’s trading history. If you would like to spend time in Turkey before treatment, there is plenty to enjoy without turning your visit into a packed tour. [1] [2]
For your clinic visit, the practical benefit is a coordinated stay. Ulusan Clinic is in Bayraklı, and the international package includes a suite at a nearby hotel and private transfers. You have a place to rest and help with getting between the airport, hotel and clinic.
Day 1: Arrive and settle in
Your driver meets you at Izmir airport and takes you to your hotel. The clinic team arranges your consultation and required checks around your arrival time. You discuss the treatment plan and any outstanding questions before surgery.
Check flight options against the appointment schedule before buying tickets. If your journey involves an overnight flight or a connection, allow for that in your travel dates; Day 1 here means the day you arrive in Izmir.
Day 2: Your procedure
You return to the clinic for your hair transplant. Your hairline and treatment plan are agreed with your doctor before the procedure. After treatment, you receive your care instructions and return to the hotel for the second included night.
Day 3: Check-up and departure
You attend a check-up and dressing change before your airport transfer. Patients usually leave the day after surgery, provided their doctor is happy with their recovery and travel plan. The first wash is normally done at home, following the clinic’s instructions.
You can discuss a longer stay if you prefer. Ask the team to confirm any extra accommodation, changes to transfers and costs before booking. The usual departure schedule is not a promise that every patient will be ready to travel at the same time.
What is included?
- Two nights in a suite at a nearby hotel: the night you arrive and the night after your procedure.
- Private transfers between the airport, hotel and clinic.
- The next-day check-up and dressing change before departure.
Your written quote confirms the full treatment package and follow-up arrangements. International flights are separate. Tell the team if you are bringing someone with you so the room and transfer arrangements can be confirmed.
Would you like to see more of Izmir?
Consider arriving earlier if sightseeing matters to you. Kordon and Alsancak suit a relaxed waterfront visit. Konak Square and Kemeraltı can be combined for a look at the historic city center. Ephesus, near Selçuk, is a separate excursion and deserves time of its own. [1] [2] [3]
Plan outings around the clinic’s preparation instructions. After surgery, keep the focus on recovery and follow your doctor’s advice about activity, sun exposure and when you can return to swimming or other plans. A longer hotel stay does not automatically mean you are ready for sightseeing. [4]
Before you confirm your trip
Ask the team to put your appointments, hotel nights, transfers, total price and follow-up contacts in writing. Keep the first few days at home flexible too: being ready to travel does not necessarily mean you are ready to return to work. Discuss your job and routine with your doctor. [5]
Share your preferred dates with Ulusan Clinic and ask for a visit plan before booking flights.
